Helldivers 2 has released Patch 01.000.203, bringing a variety of fixes for crashes, stability issues, and more. Arrowhead Game Studios has been constantly updating Helldivers 2 since its February release, and the support continues with this latest update.

No one could have predicted the level of success Helldivers 2 would go on to achieve, least of all Arrowhead Game Studios. The developer has done a great job rising to the occasion in the wake of this success, and has very frequently updated the game with brand-new content. This ensures that both new and returning players to the game have something fresh to experience, which has allowed the game to retain a very strong player count. If this level of support continues, Helldivers 2 could stick around for a very long time yet.

In patch notes posted on Steam, Helldivers 2 confirmed the latest batch of changes coming to the game. For the most part, this update is centered around a ton of different crash fixes, including one particularly annoying crash that would occur after extraction. Other miscellaneous fixes include Major orders now properly displaying text, and red boxes in defense missions no longer being visible. The other big change in this update is regarding the CE-27 Ground Breaker armor — one of the coolest armors in Helldivers 2. This armor was advertised with the Engineer kit passive, but it didn't actually have this in-game. With this patch, it now works as intended.

With previous Helldivers 2 updates, there have often been surprises included by the developer for players to find. Several times, Helldivers 2 updates have added new enemies not mentioned in the patch notes. This is an extremely unique approach, as it allows players to find new additions by themselves. With every update for the game, there's always a wait to see if anything hidden has been added, and it remains to be seen if there are any surprises in the latest patch.

With so many updates coming to Helldivers 2, the developer has frequently liaised with players to see what the community generally wants to see come to the game. One Helldivers 2 developer even spoke about the possibility of adding melee weapons recently, and it seems that this may still be on the table. It's great to see this level of community engagement from the studio, and in the long run, it should result in a much happier player base.
