A Baldur's Gate 3 player online has discovered a hilarious glitch in the game, which makes the popular companion Astarion look unintentionally crazy. While Baldur's Gate 3 has no shortage of small bugs, this is definitely one of the funniest yet.

Since the release of Baldur's Gate 3 almost a year ago, gamers have found plenty of bugs in Larian's RPG. The studio has done a good job of ensuring that these bugs aren't totally game-breaking, and in many cases, they even result in unique occurrences that create unique memorable moments for players. One example is the Baldur's Gate 3 glitch that caused players to hug Halsin forever, and this latest Astarion bug definitely falls into this category, too. Because of the scale of Baldur's Gate 3, these types of bugs are inevitable, and more will likely be found for many years to come.

Redditor -Average_redditor_ shared the video of the strange glitch, which takes place in Act 3 of Baldur's Gate 3. In the clip, Astarion is speaking to Pale Petras and Dalyria, both of whom are completely invisible despite their voices being heard. Astarion acts out the dramatic scene as normal, as though he's interacting with someone who isn't really there. The whole scene is hilarious, and makes the popular companion look totally crazy. The user claims that they have no idea what is causing the bug, but it seems to have made the scene even more memorable in this instance.

Hilarious Baldur's Gate 3 Astarion Dialogue Glitch

As pointed out by another user in the thread, the video is made all the more hilarious by -Average_redditor_'s character standing in the background behind Astarion, dressed in full clown makeup. The thread even came up with its own head-canon for the situation, pointing out that Tav looks completely unfazed, as if it's a regular occurrence that Baldur's Gate 3's Astarion threatens people that aren't there.

Although Larian Studios is moving on from the game in the long term, the upcoming Patch 7 for Baldur's Gate 3 has plenty for players to get excited about. With a September release currently promised by the developer, it will finally add modding tools to Baldur's Gate 3, in what could prove to serve as an official handover of the title from the studio to the community. It's going to be an exciting period for the game, which is set to celebrate its first anniversary in August. Let's see if Larian has anything else in store to celebrate beyond Patch 7.
