Fortnite Ballistic offers players an additional game mode to dive into, this time diverging from the standard Battle Royale action to an objective-based, 5v5 experience. In this mode, players will take it in turns attacking and defending two sites, where one team must plant a Rift Point Device and the other must stop them. With a range of weapons and powerful gadgets to use, Fortnite Ballistic offers a ton of fun to be had.

With Fortnite Ballistic comes a free reward that players can obtain, as Fortnite has teamed up with Discord yet again to give players a free Avatar Decoration. While past decorations have taken the form of a Rift Butterfly and a Bush Camper, this time players can don the iconic Shield Potion on their Discord profiles. Here is how to get the Shield Potion Avatar Decoration on Discord.
How To Accept The Fortnite Ballistic Quest
The first step to acquiring the Shield Potion Avatar is to accept the Fortnite Ballistic Quest. Discord users may spot the quest just above their Discord profile when loading the application. If this is the case, they can simply head to the quest above their profile and select “Accept Quest”. Otherwise, complete the following steps:

- Run Discord and open the Discover tab (found at the bottom left of the screen).
- Head to the Quests tab.
- Locate the Fortnite Ballistic Quest and select “Accept Quest”.
- Choose the platform you play Fortnite on (Desktop or Console).
While Discord users will be unable to accept and complete the quest on mobile , it can be completed on console. However, players may have to appear online to ensure quest progress is tracked.
How To Claim The Shield Potion Avatar Decoration

Once players have accepted the Fortnite Ballistic Quest, they will be tasked with playing Fortnite Ballistic for 15 minutes. Though the quest does specify that players need to play Fortnite Ballistic specifically, any mode will do, including regular Battle Royale and LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. In fact, players can even leave Fortnite running in the background for 15 minutes to complete the quest.

Once players have played Fortnite for 15 minutes after activating the quest, they can claim the Shield Potion Avatar Decoration. This can be done by heading back to Discord, going over to the Fortnite Ballistic Quest, and selecting “Claim Reward”. Discord users can then equip the Avatar Decoration by selecting “Use Now” via the quest after claiming it.
The Fortnite Ballistic Quest is available to accept until December 16. Users will also only be able to use the Shield Potion Avatar Decoration for two months for free. Afterward, it will move over to the Discord Shop for purchase.
