What Is Winter Like in Infection Free Zone?

How to Survive Your First Winter in Infection Free Zone

Winter is the most difficult period in most apocalyptic worlds, and Infection Free Zone is no exception. While the weather is cold, your fields cannot produce food. So, you can only rely on the resources you’ve prepared before winter.

The first Winter can be a bit problematic as you won’t have many resources. Also, you won’t be able to access all the necessary technology that is required to produce canned food. This means that you will have to rely on the things your squads loot in the neighboring buildings.

However, without food production, you won’t be able to last long. Your people will starve if you don’t do something. Fortunately, there is a strategy you can use to increase your chances of survival and we are going to tell you about it.

Create More Squads

Your fields can't produce much wheat in winter, and placing your survivors there is almost useless. Instead, we suggest you create more squads to search for food in neighboring houses. There should still be plenty of structures to visit, as you are unlikely to loot them all before the first winter.

Prepare Your Arsenal

If you want to form more squads, then you will need to arm them. So, try to scavenge a couple of gunshops or police stations to get more firearms and ammunition.

Pair Your Squads

You may not have enough weapons for all your survivors, so you should pair a squad that doesn’t have guns with an armed squad. This ensures that your survivors can protect each other and loot more buildings.

Choose the Right Buildings to Loot

The best buildings to loot are shops with food or canteens. There, you will find many food cans, which are the most useful resource in winter.

Don’t Leave Your People Without Shelters

Your survivors won’t be happy that they have to eat canned food instead of normal dishes. So, you should at least build enough Shelters for all of them to improve their mood and give them somewhere to sleep.

The winter period can be quite difficult, but with the help of these tips, you should be able to deal with all your problems. But don't relax too much, as this is just one of the challenges you will have to face in the future.
