While players may be thrilled by battling Darth Vader and getting their hands on the Wookie Bowcaster in Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite has its own set of exciting additions, marking a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
LEGO Fortnite has changed forever with the release of the v29.40 update, bringing the Rebel Alliance and the Empire to the island. Though many aspiring Rebels may want to dive straight into battle against Stormtroopers and level up the Rebel Adventure Pass, there are a few essential items they will need to secure first. Macrobinoculars in particular play a vital role in reaching the Star Wars Island. Here is how to get them.

Much like many of the other tools and weapons in LEGO Fortnite, Macrobinoculars can be obtained through one of two methods.
To obtain their first pair of Macrobinoculars, gamers will need to interact with Captain Bravara.
Captain Bravara is an NPC that, much like Brite Bomber or Cuddle Team Leader, will rift to the player's location upon loading into their LEGO Fortnite world. Simply exhausting her dialogue will bestow the player with a pair of Macrobinoculars, an item that will play a crucial role in finding the Rebel Outpost.

Macrobinoculars Recipe
The second method to obtain Macrobinoculars is through crafting, with the crafting recipe being unlocked upon equipping Plastoid within the player's inventory.
Plastoid is a resource unique to the Star Wars Island and can be gathered by harvesting Star Wars-related structures such as debris around the Rebel Outpost. Plastoid is also dropped by eliminating Stormtroopers, creating ample opportunities for farming this precious resource.
Once players have gotten a hold of Plastoid, they will be able to craft Macrobinoculars via a Rebel Workbench using:
- 4 Plastoid
- 2 Glass
- 1 Basic Compass
- 1 Power Cell

Macrobinoculars are an extremely useful item, acting as the primary method for locating important areas within the LEGO Fortnite Island. To use Macrobinoculars, players will need to place the item in their Quickbar and hold the Fire input action with the item equipped. This nifty item will pinpoint the location of the Rebel Outpost in a player's world and is the most surefire way to find the Outpost for the first time.
Macrobinoculars can also be used to reveal the locations of nearby Imperial Hideouts and Bunkers, thus allowing players to infiltrate them once they have armed themselves with the best weapons and gear.
