What Happens When You 100% Luigi's Mansion 2?

While players can finish Luigi's Mansion 2's main story in about 10 to 12 hours, this number can nearly double if they want to complete and unlock everything it has to offer, including gaining access to additional multiplayer options.

Whether players want to make sure they don't miss any of the bonus missions or review if they've left behind any type of content worth doing, this guide will list everything gamers need to do to 100% complete Luigi's Mansion 2.

Finish the Main Story

Luigi's Mansion 2's main objective is to complete the Dark Moon Quest, which means completing a total of 29 levels:

23 Dark Moon missions
5 Mansion bosses
Final boss

These missions are completed across five haunted mansions, and the final boss is done in a separate world.

Find All Collectibles

Each mansion has a set of collectibles that gamers must find in order to fully complete the game:

Gloomy Manor:
- 13 Amethyst Gems
- 5 Boos
Haunted Towers:
- 13 Emerald Gems
- 5 Boos
Old Clockworks:
- 13 Ruby Gems
- 5 Boos
Secret Mine:
- 13 Sapphire Gems
- 3 Boos
Treacherous Mansion:
- 13 Diamond Gems
- 5 Boos

Although there are Gold Bones in specific locations of each mansion, they don't count towards game completion, as they're considered treasure and will add to the gold sum in E. Gadd's vault.

Complete Additional Objectives

Players who want to do absolutely everything available in the Dark Moon Quest can also complete the following bonus objectives:

Complete the five bonus missions
- Gradual Infiltration (Gloomy Manor)
- Hostile Intrusion (Haunted Towers)
- Outlandish Interruption (Old Clockworks)
- Severe Infestation (Secret Mine)
- Terrifying Invasion (Treacherous Mansion)

Each mansion has its own bonus mission and to unlock it, gamers have to find all of the Boos hidden inside.

Unlock Endless Mode in ScareScraper

ScareScraper is Luigi's Mansion 2's multiplayer mode, which gamers can play either solo or co-op, online or locally. While at first, gamers can only play a maximum of 25 turns in each of the three modes (Hunter Mode, Rush Mode, and Polterpup Mode,) they can actually unlock a mode that goes on an unlimited number of turns and increases its difficult as gamers go higher up the ScareScraper.

Players can unlock endless mode for each ScareScraper game by successfully finishing a 25-floor match for each of the three modes on any difficulty. For example, if gamers complete a 25-floor game of Hunter Mode, they'll unlock Endless floors for Hunter Mode.

Complete E. Gadd's Vault

When playing Luigi's Mansion 2, gamers can choose the Dark Moon Quest, ScareScraper mode, or E. Gadd's Vault. In Professor E. Gadd's Vault, gamers can check out how much treasure they've earned while playing the game, the ghosts they've caught, and the collectibles they have found. Here is what needs to be done to finish E. Gadd's vault:

Unlock every upgrade: collect 20,000G in treasure
Finish the Gem Collection: retrieve every gem
Finish the Ghost Container: hunt each type of ghost
Finish the Boo Canister: capture every Boo

What Happens When You 100% Luigi's Mansion 2?

As players complete the tasks mentioned above and work towards 100% completion, they'll gradually unlock medals.
