- How to Clear Web Blocks
Before facing the boss hidden in the cellar of Gloomy Manor, gamers will have to deal with a sticky situation. Gloomy Manor has been overrun by spiders and they've built webs all over the place, blocking off important areas of the manor — this is the premise of Luigi's Mansion 2's fifth mission, A-5: A Sticky Situation.
To complete A-5, players will have to explore the three floors of the mansion in order to get rid of all its cobwebs. It can be tricky to find them all, especially since they don't spawn in the same place every time.
How to Find All Webs in Gloomy Manor
It's not possible to pinpoint the location of every cobweb in Gloomy Manor because they will always spawn in different rooms. So, if gamers were to redo or restart this mission, they wouldn't be able to find webs in the same locations as before. The number of webs that spawn might also change each time. To learn the number of webs that spawned at the start of the mission, gamers need to check out the number marked on the top left corner of the screen, underneath the player's health.

The mansion is quite big, so to find where the webs spawned at the start of the level, gamers must open their map and see which rooms are marked with an exclamation point. If there's a "!" on top of the room's map location, that means there are still webs that need to be cleared out. Here is where webs usually appear:
- Ceilings
- Wall corners
- Furniture
When all of the webs in a room have been cleared out, Luigi will do a celebration, the exclamation point on the mini-map will disappear, and the room's surfaces will start to sparkle.

How to Clear Web Blocks
There are dozens of webs in A-5: A Sticky Situation, which makes it hard for gamers to get into certain rooms that would otherwise be accessible. Gloomy Manor locations such as the Library, the Kitchen, a part of the Common Hall, and Rafters are blocked off due to web walls that were created by the pesky spiders inhabiting the mansion.
How to Get Into the Dining Room & the Library
The Dining Room and the Library are two of the three locations that gamers will only be able to access if they get rid of web blocks in Gloomy Manor.
Players get inside the lower level Library by getting rid of the webs in Common Hall (F1), which can be done by setting fire to the ball of webs and bringing it to the wall to burn it down. The Library is connected to the Kitchen, which also allows gamers to get into the Dining Room.
The upper level of the Library has a web block that can be burned down by activating the fire source in the portrait with the Dark-Light Device.
Alternatively, gamers can get into the Dining Room first by heading to the Balcony (F2), activating the grill with Strobulb, and using the rope of web to set fire to the web block. This way, they can now proceed to the Kitchen (F1) through the small food elevator and visit the lower level of the Library.
How to Get Into the Rafters
To get into the Rafters in Luigi's Mansion 2, players must destroy the wall of webs in the Master Hall (F2). To do this, they must first remove the web that's holding up the painting of fruit on the wall near the door that leads to the Foyer.
This will cause it to tilt to the side and move the candles, which now makes it possible for gamers to grab the rope made of webs, drag it to the fire source, and destroy the webbing on the ceiling. A ball of web will fall to the ground, which players will have to grab so that they can then light it and bring it to the wall of web farther up the hall. Behind this wall, there is a lever that gamers can pull, granting them access to the third floor of Gloomy Manor.
