Mortal Kombat 1: How to Get Krown of a God & All Key Items in Season 8 of Invasions Mode

All six of the Mesas in Season 8 of Invasions Mode are home to several locked gates that Mortal Kombat 1 players will need to unseal. Some of these block the path to the final boss of the Mesa, while the rest stand between players and a special post-game area full of challenging battles and awesome rewards.

Unlocking the latter will require the Krown of a God key item, while the boss gates can be opened using a separate key item hidden somewhere throughout the Mesa. The following guide contains the locations of every key item in Season 8 of Invasions, with maps showing exactly where Mortal Kombat 1 players can find them.

How to Get the Krown of a God in Mortal Kombat 1

Those hoping to get the Krown of a God will need to beat The Dark Dragon, who serves as the final boss in Season 8 of Invasions Mode. Unlike previous Invasions Mode bosses, beating this Liu Kang variant is actually relatively straightforward, save for a projectile-dodging section at the beginning of the third phase. However, players can cheese this section by using the Translucency Field Konsumable, which can be purchased from the Gateway Portal shop and makes players immune to all projectiles for the duration of their next encounter.

Where to Find Every Key Item in Invasions Mode Season 8

All of the key items in Season 8 of Invasions are acquired by beating mini-bosses, most of which stand directly between the player and the Mesa’s final boss. The only exception is the fight against the Scorpion mini-boss in the Tarkatan Colony, which is tucked away near the shop on the far right side of the map. This should come as a welcome change for most players, with some of the previous seasons of Invasions Mode locking their key items behind Nodes that were labeled optional, which some found to be a little confusing.
