A Pokemon fan has created impressive regional forms for Bronzor and its evolution, Bronzong. The Pokemon player looked to the Bronze Age for inspiration, with results that players seem to be fond of.

Bronzor and Bronzong originally emerged in Gen 4 with the release of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games. The two Pokemon have ties to ancient times, with the evolved form sometimes going into a stasis-like state for up to 2,000 years. These ties to the ancient world play a role in the reimaginings, as well, albeit with some slight alterations to their lore.

Over on Reddit, fan artist primaljort shared their reimagining regional variants with fellow fans. Bronzor has become the Buckler Pokemon, maintaining its overall shape but gaining a red cloth similar to the one carried by Honedge. It's now a Steel/Fighting-Type Pokemon instead of the Steel/Psychic-Type from the games, with the Sheer Force ability, increasing its stats while removing their special effects. In keeping with Bronzor's original lore of being found in tombs and other ancient places, the regional variant of Bronzor is said to have been discovered with the bodies of ancient warriors in their final resting places. In addition to its new bronze-like color scheme, the Bronzor has a bit of a devious smirk, rather than the smile the original version has.

Bronzong, now the Dendra Pokemon, also has bronze coloring and maintains its red cloth, with it splitting into two parts, similar to the change Honedge undergoes when it evolves into Doublade. Bronzong has a much more sinister expression than its original counterpart, with grit teeth and narrowed eyes, and gained the ability Pure Power, doubling its Attack stat. Like the regional Bronzor, Bronzong is a Steel/Fighting-type, with deep ties to ancient cultures. According to the included lore, some believe that the spirits of fallen warriors continue to live on through the Pokemon.

Fan-Made Regional Variants and Ancient Inspiration

Fans of Pokemon and these two creatures in general seem to be fond of the designs, with many expressing to the artist how impressed they were. It stands to reason that they'd have pleasing designs and concepts, as these are far from the first creations by primaljort, who has made several regional and culturally-inspired variants of Pokemon in the past. Their Viking-themed Pokemon variants were especially popular with fellow players. It will be interesting to see which Pokemon the artist chooses to focus on next and where they'll draw inspiration from.
