Pokemon Sleep released a notice warning against cheating, but it left many players confused. Pokemon Sleep often sends out announcements on its website and the in-game mailbox regarding general updates and bug fixes, but this is the first time it relayed a cheating warning.
Pokemon Sleep mainly functions as a sleep tracker when players sleep at night, but during the day, they can research Pokemon's sleep styles and gather ingredients and berries to feed Snorlax. Compared to other Pokemon games, Pokemon Sleep isn't competitive and helps players to keep track of their sleeping habits, so it doesn't have any form of toxicity.

Some Pokemon Sleep fans believe that these limited-time events and the chance to catch rare Pokemon could motivate people to cheat in the sleep-tracking game.
