Remnant 2: Forgotten Kingdom Goddess’s Rest Guide

The Goddess’s Rest is one of the more mysterious new locations Remnant 2’s Forgotten Kingdom DLC introduces. Here’s everything you can find in it.

Remnant 2: Forgotten Kingdom Goddess's Rest Guide

Goddess's Rest, found in Remnant 2's new DLC, Forgotten Kingdom, is a pretty unique area compared to the other new maps this DLC introduces. While most of the other areas in this new DLC expansion have a couple of different random events that can appear in them, Goddess's Rest is really just centered around opening one big door.

That said, there are still a good number of items you can get in this area that most Remnant 2 players won't find on their first way through. So let's go through this zone in depth.

How Goddess's Rest Works

What Exactly Is The 'Puzzle' To Solve Here

Close

The concept behind Goddess's Rest is that it's the final resting place of Lydusa and while exploring this area you'll always need to activate 5 of these stone pillars all around the map surrounding that large stone door with Lydusa's face on it right in front of a World Stone checkpoint. Now, you can stumble across different random events in this area, such as the Altar of the Sun event or the Yaesha Tower Puzzle, but you could also not get Goddess's Rest in your roll of the DLC overall and you could get a random Yaesha event in Goddess's Rest that's simply from the base version of Yaesha.

In any case, after activating each stone pillar, one of the 5 moon-shaped lights on the Lydusa stone door will glow blue, and once all five are glowing the door will open. So, you'll just need to roam around the map until you come across these stone pillars. In general, there is one stone pillar when you first enter this area, two in the upper area that's level with the temple, and two in the lower area below the temple. Once all of them are activated, head through the now-open stone door and walk up to the Offering Bowl at the end of the room. Typically, interacting with this Offering Bowl (AKA grabbing the Bloodless Crown) causes the Bloodless Heir to spawn out of the area behind it.

However, if you have the Cherished Fracture in your inventory already from the Forgotten Kingdom storyline, the Bloodless Heir won't spawn and instead Lydusa herself takes over the statue in between the waterfalls. After telling you what actually happened with this ancient forgotten Pan Kingdom as well as what happened with Thalos, she 'ascends' leaving behind the Blossoming Core and skipping the fight with Lydusa entirely at the Bloodless Throne. You can then take the Blossoming Core to McCabe in Ward 13 to turn it into the Mirage Melee Weapon. Alternatively, you can fight and kill the Bloodless Heir to get the Bloodless King's Vow Ring as well as the Searing Wounds Ranged Weapon Mutator.

Next up, let's break down all of the important items you can find in this area. Now, depending on the choices you make and the items you have with you from other areas of the DLC, some of these items will be available and others you'll have to reroll for. In particular, you need to have the Cherished Fracture in your inventory if you want the Mirage Melee Weapon, making it almost as complicated as it was getting the Thorn Long Gun. In total, here are all the items you can gain in this area:

Now, for the most part, you can find the 5 stone pillars needed to open the door of Goddess's rest just by roaming around the entirety of the temple area, taking elevators, and looking on all levels. But, to get the Lydusa's Bedroom, you'll need to go somewhere specific. From the World Stone right outside the large stone door with Lydusa's face, follow the temple around to the right-hand side.

Progress down this path until you get to an elevator that takes you to a wilderness area below the temple. Keep following the temple around until you reach a small terrace area almost directly underneath where the stone door is near the World Stone, and you should see a small waterfall here. Go behind this waterfall to find another pathway, and fall this to a (seemingly) dead end. Walk to the back wall and then walk into the wall on your left side and you'll notice you phase through it. After getting through the illusory wall, just keep following this new hallway forward, taking the elevator up and around, and you should end up in Lydusa's Bedroom with the Bloodless Heart available to grab opposite of the bed.
