Fish Frenzy is a new random event introduced in Stardew Valley Update 1.6.4. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Almost a month after the release of Stardew Valley’s Update 1.6, developer ConcernedApe surprised players with another extensive patch that adds even more new content to the game. Update 1.6.4 has completely revamped the fishing and mining experience for new and veteran players of Stardew Valley.
Fishing in Stardew Valley is a challenging yet rewarding activity where you can catch various fish from the oceans, rivers, and lakes around the Valley. While fishing isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, Update 1.6.4.'s new Fish Frenzies, with their increased catch rates and rare fish possibilities, might just change your mind.
What Is A Fish Frenzy
A Fish Frenzy is a new random event in Stardew Valley where several fish of the same type spawn together in a bubbly spot. This makes it so much easier to catch a particular kind of fish, provided that it can be caught during the current season and weather pattern. They can occur at The Beach, Pelican Town, Cindersap Forest, or The Mountain.
While they look similar to the regular bubbling spots, Fish Frenzies are far more intense. Fish practically leap out of the water and throw themselves at your bait – begging to be caught. Fishing in these special spots significantly increases your chances of catching the specific fish for the frenzy.
