A Starfield fan has released a mod that improves the Tracker Alliance faction found in Akila City. The Tracker Alliance is a group of Starfield bounty hunters that many fans lose interest in, but this mod fills some gaps and fleshes out the faction.
Similar to other Bethesda games, players can join Starfield factions, which feature unique storylines. Some of these factions include the United Colonies, Freestar Collective, and the Crimson Fleet. The Starfield factions offer a variety of experiences, with the United Colonies having a militaristic atmosphere, and the Crimson Fleet focusing on space pirates. The primary faction that gamers may join is Constellation, a group that's heavily involved in the game's main storyline. These factions also feature companions that can join a player's adventure like the Freestar Collective's Marika Boros, Crimson Fleet's Mathis Castillo, and the United Colonies' Gideon Aker. One gamer has decided to improve the Tracker Alliance with a mod to make joining the group more enticing for low-level players.
Modder Nell Drakebane recently uploaded the Faction Story Expansion mod focused on the Trackers Alliance. This "quest-like" mod is intended for characters around level 10, and it begins on Tau-ceti VIII-b where players may find an item called "slate of Bounty 01" in a box. This item will reveal the first mission and the location of a Starfield bounty hunt. Each bounty concludes with a room that features a credit reward and a few items, and a new bounty mission can be started. Beyond these missions, the mod includes a Trackers facility, a greenhouse full of plants, and a food hall stocked with free consumables. The Tracker Alliance mod is intended to be experienced before the standard Trackers Alliance main quests.
This Mod Improves Starfield's Trackers Alliance Faction
While the Trackers Alliance mod includes some NPCs, the interactions are minimal due to coding restrictions. Nell Drakebane has expressed interest in making vendor NPCs and improving their dialogue but stated that it will take some time to optimize. The Trackers Alliance mod has been downloaded just over 500 times in seven days, making it one of the freshest Starfield mods. The modder also recommends players with companions use the Improved Follower Behavior mod from Deebz96. This is because sneaking will be necessary, and companions in the vanilla Starfield client often change the Sneak status of a player.
While Bethesda is set to release the Starfield Shattered Space DLC in the Fall, mods like this may help players remain patient. As the Tracker Alliance mod has been updated multiple times already, it may receive continued support.
