Geoff Keighley’s annual The Game Awards show is nearly upon us. Taking place on December 12, 2024, at 7:30p ET / 4:30p PT, the awards presentation will celebrate the best of the best in the video game industry. Not only will games get recognized for having the best art, soundtrack, narrative, etc, but like every year, there will be some juggernaut world premiere trailers.

As mentioned in the intro, The Game Awards’ Opening Act will start at 4:30 PM PT (Los Angeles) / 7:30 PM ET (NYC) on Thursday night, December 12. In the past, these game award shows have lasted around 2.5 to 4 hours. Some shows have even gone on longer than that, so if you’re planning a watch party or something, keep that in mind. If you live on the East Coast, you might end up watching the show until almost midnight.
