Focus Entertainment announced that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has gone gold. Now, through a post on Twitter, Focus Entertainment has revealed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has gone gold and is ready to be released. The studio confirmed the launch date on September 9 in the same post. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be available for purchase both digitally and physically. Players who pre-order any edition of the game will receive up to four days of early access, while the Gold and Ultra editions will also include the Season Pass.

According to lead game designer Dmitry Grigorenko, the development team wanted Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 to be flawless, dubbing it "the perfect sequel." To achieve this, they reintroduced the PvP mode to the game and added a large-scale co-op PvE mode called Operations.
According to the developers, Captain Titus alone couldn't contain the galaxy-wide conflict against the Tyranids. For this reason, the Ultramarine needs the help of a squadron, and it was from this concept that the Operations co-operative mode in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was born. To ensure dynamism among the three players involved in Operations, the number of classes has increased from three to six, but all have the potential for versatility and teamwork to be effective regardless of the situation.
