World of Warcraft will soon give players another way to level up a character with the limited-time event WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. This will see players return to Mists of Pandaria with a new coat of paint and experience the expansion with multiple additions.
To ensure players know when this event begins and what to expect, we've compiled everything players will need to know about the limited-time event.
WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria Start Date and Time
World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria is set to begin on May 16 at 10 AM PT and will be available to players with an active subscription. Players do not need any expansion purchased to play; they only need to have WoW Retail installed and their subscription.
What to Expect from WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria
Leveling in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria will be at an accelerated rate from 10-70, with almost every quest, dungeon, scenario, and raid, as well as other content, adjusted and available for players to complete as they level up. This will mean players can experience all the expansion has to offer with no need to wait for updates; simply play, level up, and take on content as it unlocks. Once the event is over, characters will convert to standard Retail characters, and players can continue to play in The War Within.
Along with the new level experience, players can expect to find a lot of loot during their adventures. The mode contains "mountains of loot" for players to collect from almost anywhere, be that dungeons, quests, chests, bosses, creatures, or anything in between.
Along with all the loot, players can look forward to a new customizable items. Gear and items in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria will have spell gem sockets, which can be filled with the corresponding gem to unlock new effects and powers, similar to trinkets or WoW Classic's rune system seen in Season of Discovery. This includes damaging spells, buffs, healing, and several spells and abilities.
There will also be an artifact cloak, which gains permanent powers as you level up and play. You can also upgrade gear to become even more powerful. This mode has uncapped progression, so players can just keep getting stronger.
To top it off, players are able to collect a new currency called Bronze, which is earned by taking old gear and item drops and converting them to this currency. With Bronze, you can then purchase upgrades as well as plenty of cosmetics for your account. This includes transmogs, toys, and mounts, including several that players may have been unable to obtain, and some difficult drops. There are also titles, previously unreleased mount color variations, and more to unlock through achievements during the event, with all of it adding to your collection and being available after the event and going into The War Within.
It's another new experience for World of Warcraft players to enjoy, and it continues the game's trend of offering new ways to play and modes with unique twists. Combined with the upcoming Dark Heart content update, the MMO is having quite a good year so far and potentially will get even better when the next expansion arrives later this year.
