The latest update for Wuthering Waves, Thaw of Eons, introduces an exciting new area to Huanglong’s map: Mt. Firmament. This snowy region, located south of Jinzhou, becomes visible after downloading the patch. However, reaching it isn't straightforward since it's situated far out in the ocean. As you might have guessed, a special quest unlocks access to this new region and introduces some fresh Resonators. Fortunately, the quest is fairly short. If you’ve already completed the first five acts of the first chapter, you’ll have no trouble venturing into Mt. Firmament.
How to Get to Mt. Firmament

- Complete the Rewinding Raindrops quest.
- Complete the A New Companion and Dreamy Scents quests.
- Start the "To Mt. Firmament" quest in Jinzhou.
To unlock Mt. Firmament, you need to complete the “A New Companion” main quest. This quest becomes available after you finish Rewinding Raindrops, which occurs during the fifth act of Chapter One.
In the A New Companion quest, you will meet Abby, also known as the "Little One." Following this, the quest will lead you to the Dreamy Scents objective and subsequently to the "To Mt. Firmament" objective, which ultimately guides you to Mt. Firmament.
You will need to ride a ferryboat to access Mt. Firmament as there’s no other access. You will also meet Changli before getting into the new area. She will accompany you through the new objectives at this location.
What to Expect in Mt.Firmament
Starting with the To Mt. Firmament mission, a new questline awaits you in this location. You will also be able to hunt down new Echo types as well as new collectibles such as Windchimers. Mt. Firmament is almost as vast as Norfall Barrens, offering a wide area to explore, including some underground tunnels.
Mt. Firmament has seven primary regions: Luminous Shore, Xuanji Ridges, Loong’s Rest, Loong’s Crest, Loong’s Ridge, Tianqu Tree, and Hongzhen. All these areas will be accessible from the get-go once the player enters the island. Mt. Firmament also provides a chance for you to test the new Resonators: Jinhsi and Changli. You will be able to play as them during the first main quest on the island.
How to Leave Mt.Firmament
The only way to leave Mt. Firmament is by fast traveling to another Resonance Nexus or Beacon. Once you activate the first Nexus station on the island, you can travel back and forth between Huanglong cities and Mt. Firmament Island.
