With the addition of the Rinascita region to Wuthering Waves, players are introduced to a new roster of characters, each with unique abilities designed to enhance and redefine combat strategies. Among the first playable characters from this region is Roccia, who follows shortly after Carlotta in the character release lineup.
While Roccia is designed to take advantage of the new Echoes and Echo Sets introduced in Rinascita, her utility extends beyond future-oriented investments. She synergizes effectively with many existing characters, making her a versatile addition to teams. Roccia shines particularly in compositions that include Havoc Main DPS characters, as her Outro skill provides a significant boost to Havoc DMG and Basic ATK DMG. This makes her an invaluable support for characters reliant on consistent and high-output Havoc basic attacks.
Additionally, Roccia’s combat utility is enhanced by her crowd control capabilities, as her Outro skill also pulls enemies closer. This ability allows her to complement Havoc DPS characters by grouping enemies for efficient damage output, further solidifying her role as a valuable support in team compositions. Here are some character and team synergies that can make the best use of Roccia in Wuthering Waves
Roccia + Camellya + Shorekeeper
Best Premium Team Composition
When players think of a selfish on-field DPS character with long field time, Camellya is often one of the first options that comes to mind. Known for her potent damage output, especially when she’s in her enhanced state, she can be somewhat hindered by her lack of mobility during this time. This is where Roccia comes in as an exceptional support unit. With her Outro skill boosting Havoc DMG and Basic ATK DMG, Roccia is tailor-made to enhance Camellya’s abilities, allowing her to maximize her damage output while mitigating some of her mobility issues. The added crowd control provided by Roccia further complements Camellya, keeping enemies grouped and vulnerable to her attacks in a close range. Essentially, Roccia becomes a replacement for Sanhua in Camellya’s premium team compositions, adding both buffs and utility that streamline her playstyle.
The last slot in this setup goes to Shorekeeper, who fills the essential role of the sustain unit. As of now, she remains as the best healer option for maintaining team health and buffs while ensuring Camellya can stay on the field for extended periods. Since Roccia’s Outro buffs and crowd control mechanics are designed to set up the next Resonator’s attacks, it’s crucial for players to properly time the transitions between characters to maximize their effectiveness. In this case, players should begin their rotation with Shorekeeper , using her Resonance Liberation at the right moment to ensure that both her Outro buff and Roccia’s Outro buffs are active for as long as possible during Camellya’s field time. This strategic setup maximizes the uptime of all support abilities, providing the sustain and damage boosts necessary for Camellya to dish out her full potential.
Team Roles
- Camellya: Main DPS
- Roccia: Sub-DPS, buffer, crowd control
- Shorekeeper: Support, healer, buffer
Roccia+ Havoc Rover + Baizhi
Best F2P Team Composition
For players interested in utilizing Roccia with F2P alternatives, an excellent option is to pair her with Havoc Rover, alongside a freely obtainable sustain option like Baizhi. While Spectro Rover has seen an update with a focus on Spectro Frazzle , Havoc Rover remains a respectable F2P DPS unit that can handle most content effectively, especially when built optimally. Much like Camellya, Havoc Rover tends to spend significant time on the field, making them an ideal beneficiary of Roccia’s long-duration buffs. This setup enables Havoc Rover to maximize their damage potential and efficiently take advantage of Roccia’s buffs while maintaining consistent on-field presence.
Havoc Rover has some built-in self-buffs through their Resonance Chain, such as the ability to heal themselves and further increase their damage output. This means they can operate somewhat independently of a dedicated sustain unit, reducing their reliance on external healing. However, Baizhi still proves valuable for providing additional healing and buffing, particularly during moments when extra support is needed. Notably, a team composition with Baizhi is less strict in terms of rotations compared to one with Shorekeeper. Since Baizhi’s buff only benefits the next character instead of the entire team, players have a bit more flexibility with their rotations and field time.
This hybrid setup allows Roccia and Havoc Rover to both shine as DPS units. While Roccia can still serve her primary role of buffing other characters with her Outro ability, focusing on Roccia’s own damage potential is also a viable approach, especially since Roccia’s buffs will continue to enhance Havoc Rover’s output. By utilizing Baizhi’s buffs on Roccia, and Roccia’s buffs on Havoc Rover, players can create a flexible, F2P-friendly team composition that offers both offensive and healing support, while allowing for a less rigid rotation.
Team Roles
- Havoc Rover: Main DPS
- Roccia: Sub-DPS, buffer, crowd control
- Baizhi: Support, healer, buffer
Roccia + Danjin + Verina
Alternative Team Composition
Danjin is a fan-favorite 4-star unit, especially among hardcore players who enjoy a high-risk, high-reward playstyle. While Roccia’s Basic ATK DMG buff isn’t directly beneficial for Danjin , she can still make excellent use of her Havoc DMG buff and crowd control abilities. One of Danjin’s weaknesses is that she is prone to taking significant damage, especially when dealing with multiple enemies. Roccia’s crowd control, which pulls enemies in, addresses this weakness by helping Danjin control the battlefield more effectively. In this team composition, Roccia essentially takes the place of Mortefi, who would typically assist Danjin with coordinated attacks and a Heavy ATK boosting Outro skill.
For the last slot, Shorekeeper would still be an excellent choice as a sustain option; however, for those who either plan to use her in another team or don’t have access to her, Verina makes a fantastic alternative . Verina’s Outro skill provides a team-wide buff, which benefits both Roccia and Danjin simultaneously. Additionally, since Danjin can also serve as a sub-DPS, Roccia’s more damage-oriented build in this composition becomes worthwhile. This setup allows Roccia to spend longer on-field time with Danjin compared to her role in the Camellya team composition, particularly when players swap from Danjin to Roccia using the Outro ability. By doing so, Roccia’s Havoc DMG will also be enhanced, making her more flexible in her role as a damage dealer.
Team Roles
- Danjin: Main DPS, Sub-DPS, buffer
- Roccia: Sub-DPS, buffer, crowd control
- Verina: Support, healer, buffer
