Highlights
- WWE 2K24's update 1.12 addresses issues from previous patches, resolving AI problems and adding support for future MyFaction events.
- Patch 1.12 also introduces new MyFaction characters, Batista '08 and Jean-Paul Levesque, likely as Persona cards.
- Developers continue to improve WWE 2K24 post-launch, aiming for a smoother experience leading up to WWE 2K25.
WWE 2K24's update 1.12 has been released to address issues brought about by the two patches that preceded it. As WWE 2K24's patch 1.10 and 1.11 reportedly broke the game in many aspects, there was a lot of backlash online regarding the developers' perceived focus on trying to add content for modes such as MyFaction and others. Many complaints have existed ever since the title was released. Some of the problems mentioned include the apparent difficulty in connecting to various online services, and multiple visual glitches present in the Creation Suite.
Still, WWE 2K24's developers have consistently tried to assess and amend the problems plaguing the game. With every new piece of content that MyFaction or DLC introduces, the team has to ensure that all possible conflicts with existing assets will be resolved. Graphical bugs that might need to be addressed on the new models have to be checked. Not to mention, the bugs that were not resolved previously still have to be weeded out. It seems the latest patch has solved some of the community's concerns.
WWE 2K24's patch 1.12 has finally addressed the reports of AI becoming unresponsive in certain situations. The previous patch saw tag matches become somewhat unplayable because of the bug. The CPU opponent repeatedly entering and exiting the ring, as well as the picking up and dropping of weapons has been solved, as well. It seems many of the things that WWE 2K24 update 1.11 broke have been resolved, which should appease many fans. Support for future MyFaction events has also been noted in the patch notes.
Upcoming MyFaction Characters Found in Patch 1.12
- Batista '08
- Jean-Paul Levesque
Interestingly enough, as with previous patches, WWE 2K24 content creator WhatsTheStatus has yet again uncovered several models that might be making their way to MyFaction. The newly-discovered characters include a classic version of Batista, as well as Jean-Paul Levesque, who was originally included in WWE 2K23. While no release date has been found for the two, it is highly likely that they will be turned into Persona cards that can be unlocked in other modes, based on previous discoveries.
With WWE 2K24 having been out for over four months, it's nearing the halfway mark before the next yearly iteration comes out. It is a couple of months away before all the officially announced WWE 2K24 DLC releases. Once the final official content comes out, the developers should be able to focus on ironing out various bugs. However, the new Persona system in MyFaction may bring about additional issues not present in previous years' entries. Granted, the developers have been known to really work on improving the games post-launch, such as the case with WWE 2K20. Ideally, the months preceding WWE 2K25 should hopefully be a smoother experience as the team fixes WWE 2K24.
