Although no conversation has yet taken place, Conley and Yonemura seem to be the best choices for helming the upcoming reboot. X-Men ’97 has received universal acclaim due to its faithful adaptation of the beloved ‘90s animated series, capturing the essence of the original while delivering fresh content for the ardent fans and newcomers alike. Additionally, the decision to explore complex themes like social issues gave the series much-needed depth and relevance. That only helped in making the series a roaring success for Disney+. By uniting X-Men and the heroes of the MCU, Marvel has the extraordinary opportunity to introduce beloved mutants to a new generation of fans.

The first five episodes of X-Men ’97 are currently available for streaming on Disney+.
