Microsoft has confirmed that a new Activision game will be hitting Xbox Game Pass on August 8, joining two other titles that were previously announced to be coming to the subscription service in the same month. Since Microsoft acquired Activision-Blizzard, the studio has been under immense pressure to bring more of the studio's titles to Xbox Game Pass, and players will soon gain access to even more incredibly popular titles.
After almost two years of legal battles and finalizations, Microsoft officially purchased Activision-Blizzard in October 2023 for a massive $69 billion. The studio then confirmed in February that one of Activision's latest titles, Diablo 4, would be joining Xbox's lucrative subscription service. Shortly after, rumors began circulating that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 would also be joining Game Pass. Those rumors were then confirmed when the massive triple-a shooter was added to the service in July.
With the price of Xbox Game Pass continuing to increase, fans are eager to see which new Activision titles will be hitting the service. After being leaked last month, Microsoft has now confirmed via a new blog post that the next Activision game coming to Xbox Game Pass will be Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. The popular platformer will be released for cloud, console, and PC on August 8, just one day after another title joins the service's long line of games.

Creatures of Ava will be a day-one release on Game Pass and is already receiving highly positive reviews from critics, while Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Mafia: Definitive Edition are both remakes of classic titles. The arrival of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will mark the third Activision game to join Xbox Game Pass following the studio's acquisition by Microsoft. However, as three new games join the service, Microsoft has also confirmed that four games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on August 15, including the popular horror game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
While there are plenty of new titles coming to Game Pass in 2024, Xbox recently confirmed that the day one Game Pass release Avowed had been pushed to February 2025. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 hitting Xbox Game Pass on day one, and now the likes of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Mafia: Definitive Edition also joining the service, it feels like there's never been a better time to be subscribed to Microsoft's increasingly popular service.
