- Where to Use Gizmol
Automaton is a mechanic in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom that you can unlock after you’ve met Dampe. After helping with Dampe’s first side quest, you can start three quests to get more automatons. «Performance Artist!» will unlock a robotic monster called a Gizmol. It may not be as useful in combat as the level 3 Echoes you can Learn, but you’ll need Gizmol for a later side quest. If you’re looking to add more heart containers in Echoes of Wisdom, then you’ll want to complete «Performance Artist!» at some point in your playthrough.
Performance Artist Walkthrough
How to Unlock Gizmol
To start «Performance Artist!», you need to complete the «Automaton Engineer Dampe» side quest. If you complete the «Still Missing» story quest, you can find Dampe north of Hyrule Ranch. Defeat the crow to get the Clockwork Key, then drop by Dampe’s Studio, which is west of Jabul Waters/the River Zora village. Speak to Dampe at his studio, and you’ll need to bring him a Mothula Echo and a Tektite Echo. This will create the Techtite automaton. After this, you can inspect the Dampe’s journal to get three more side quests; one of these is «Performance Artist!»

Prismatic Music Box Location in Echoes of Wisdom
To complete «Performance Artist!», you need to show Dampe a Zol Echo and find something that makes a «lovely sound.» The quest gives you a hint that the «lovely sound» can be heard from Hyrule Ranch. You’ll need to have Zelda’s horse («Impa’s Gift») to get the «lovely sound» item, which is a Prismatic Music Box. Speak to the lady next to the house to partake in the Flag Race. If you manage to complete the Middle Course in under 25 seconds, you’ll get the Prismatic Music Box.
Since the Prismatic Music Box is not an Echo, you can’t summon it to show Dampe. In order to give Dampe the Prismatic Music Box, speak to him and choose «I want an automaton.» Then, select «performance artist» to turn it in. You will need to do this for the remaining three automaton requests, which require the Golden Fan and Heirloom Katana.
After you’ve given Dampe the music box and summoned the Zol Echo, you’ll receive the Gizmol.

An Out-There Zol Side Quest
If you’ve completed the side quest «A Curious Child,» then you can start «An Out-There Zol.» Go to Hyrule Castle Town and speak to the boy outside the house in the southwestern corner. If he’s already seen the Zol, Ignizol, and Hydrozol, he’ll have a side quest marker over his head. Speak to him to start «An Out-There Zol,» and summon the Gizmol automaton to complete the quest. To use automaton, press left on the directional pad, and select the Gizmol. The reward for «An Out-There Zol» is a piece of heart.
