The games where you’re most likely to run into cheaters have been revealed, with Call of Duty topping the list.

Cheating in multiplayer video games has been around, well, forever. When couch co-op ruled things, you only had to deal with your friends looking at your share of the screen, but things have evolved a lot since then.

Now, pretty much every multiplayer game has cheaters. These might be wall hacks, or aim bots, or even God mode, but you’ll run into them at some point in the day.

Games like Call of Duty, Valorant, and ARC Raiders have clamped down hard with anti-cheat systems and bans, but cheaters manage to wriggle through. This has prompted some players to turn their backs on modes like Warzone, while others have just tried to get on with it.

Call of Duty is game most-searched for by cheaters

New data from Surfshark has actually revealed that you’re most likely to run into a cheater during games of Call of Duty, as CoD is the game where hackers search for advantages most online.

According to the findings, 66 players out of every 1000 search for Call of Duty cheats online. That beats out Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, and Marvel Rivals, which have 59, 53, and 45, respectively.

Other notable additions inside the top 10 include Apex Legends, Fortnite, ARC Raiders, and Counter-Strike. Valorant’s Vanguard anti-cheat appears to be a powerful deterrent; however, with just one search per 1000 players.
