Fancy getting yourself some over-the-top headshots in VR? Of course you do. And thanks to Rebellion, we have just the answer: Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior is coming to Meta Quest headsets on 30th November.
Available on Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro, Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior is a brand new entry into the long-running Sniper Elite series. You’ll take on the role of a former Italian resistance soldier known as ‘The Partisan’, and over the course of the game you’ll relive a series of his memories over the course of World War II.
With a campaign that focuses on storytelling, you’ll experience The Partisan as he fights against Nazi forces as well as uncovering secret ‘wonder weapons’ that you must destroy.
Along with playing through The Partisan’s WWII flashbacks, Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior has two unique game modes. The first, Sniper Hunt, is described as “a game of cat and mouse”, where players will be pitted against Nazi snipers. The second is Last Stand, which challenges you to survive endless waves of enemies.

Of course, being a Sniper Elite game, the X-Ray Kill Cam will show its face here, highlighting any particularly gnarly shots you make. And thanks to the Quest’s haptic support, you’ll feel the rumble of every bullet right in the headset.
Sound good? We think so. And there’s not long to wait: Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior is coming on 30th November, priced at £10.99/$14.99 or your local equivalent.
If you’re still rocking an Oculus Quest 1 headset, though, you’ll have sit this one out, unfortunately: it’s only compatible with Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro.
So far, there’s no word on PC VR or PSVR release.
