Gameloft has just released a content roadmap for Disney Dreamlight Valley that covers the remainder of 2024, and fans have a lot of good stuff to look forward to. A free update and new content for the Rift in Time expansion are coming later this month, and at least two more updates are coming before the end of the year.
The first update of the roadmap, coming in the next few weeks, will bring The Princess and the Frog’s Tiana to Dreamlight Valley. Alongside her will be her iconic palace, new outside decorations and a 1920’s themed Star Path.
At the same time, the paid A Rift in Time expansion will come to a close. Players will finally get to enter Jafar’s palace, and there’ll be plenty more surprises to come — but Gameloft aren’t quite ready to reveal them just yet.
The next update will then come in October, and Gameloft says this will be “smaller in scope and shorter”. It’ll be focusing more on quality of life improvements in preparation for a bigger update coming before the end of the year. But there will be new characters to look forward to, in the shape of The Lion King’s Timon and Pumbaa.
We’re waiting on information on the final update of the year, but Gameloft promises this will be a big one. And there’ll also be a Showcase Stream later in the year where more content will be revealed — and we’ll get a look at what the company’s plans are for 2025.
One thing is for sure, though: it’s been two years since Disney Dreamlight Valley first launched in Early Access. And in that time, developer Gameloft has added update after update, making the game bigger and better each time — and ultimately, the best game currently available for Disney fans. We can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
