Elgato is releasing a new Fallout-themed Stream Deck and we absolutely want it. Admittedly, we very rarely stream so it’d be just sitting on our desk doing absolutely nothing, but if you’re a fan of Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic series, or the Amazon show that’s debuting soon, you’ll be blown away by how cool this kit looks.
You might be wondering what Elgato’s Stream Deck actually does, especially if you’re old as the hills, like us. It’s a handy, streamer-friendly piece of kit that lets you assign actions to individual buttons. Want to switch scenes or go live at the press of a button? Have a daft animation pop up at your behest? Go right ahead. Each button is a tiny LCD screen so you can even customise a button’s appearance.
That’s the lowdown on the regular model, anyway. But Elgato’s special Fallout-themed model has a rugged, slightly worn Pip-Boy style look to it. You can just imagine stumbling across it in some Brotherhood of Steel base or finding it on some dead vault-dweller’s wrist. And that’s not all. While it’s the Stream Deck that’s caught our eye, there’s also a matching Wave XLR microphone, Wave XLR mixer and Wave XLR stand.

So how can you get your hands on these? Elgato has indicated that all four items will be available individually or as a bundle and some are already in the hands of streamers. But they’ll also be available to the public, albeit in limited quantities, from April 11th next week. We can see these selling out, so keep an eye on Elgato’s Twitter account.
And if you’re wondering just why Elgato has chosen to release these now, it’ll have something to do with Amazon upcoming Fallout series, which begins this April 12th on Amazon Prime. We’ll have the popcorn at the ready, hoping that it halfway does the franchise justice.
