Fallen Aces Gets a New Gameplay Trailer and an Early Access Release

Fallen Aces, a PC-based 1920s-era retro-styled FPS, has revealed nine minutes of all new gameplay. And aside from featuring some cool frying pan shenanigans, it gives us a look at some of the game’s stealth aspects.

The game doesn’t seem to be going full on Thief, but there’s perhaps a little Dishonored in there, more so than the demo. It looks as if you can take on a few hoods but you’ll still be able to get out of your depth.

We’re absolutely fine with that, because we’re all up for some sneaky mook-bashing. And while the Steam store description emphasises that this channels the spirit of 90s shooters, there are a few more up to date features on display.

For example, you can use a frying pan to deflect bullets, which is silly enough to be in the spirit of the game. Speaking of silly, we love the karate-chopping action toy advert that’s playing the moment you take out a bad guy.

The trailer’s nine minutes long and well worth watching, even if you’ve tackled the demo. It was revealed during 3D Realms’ Realms Deep digital event and is packed with sneakery, mayhem and more. Plus, it offer a glimpse of some fantastic-looking comic-book style cutscenes.

The trailer doesn’t give a release date, unfortunately. But developers Trey Powell and Jason Bond have revealed that the first entire episode (of three) will launch into Steam Early Access next year. In the meantime, you can check out the demo and wishlist Fallen Aces on Steam.
