It appears that people really like dismantling automatons and slaying bugs, in the UK at least, with Helldivers 2 being the best-selling game in March.
EA Sports FC 24 continues to perform well, being the second highest-selling games of March, beating Dragon’s Dogma 2 which is in the third spot. Amazingly, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege is in the top ten, sitting at no. 6, and Grand Theft Auto V is still hanging in there too at no. 8. Two old Command & Conquer titles have made their way into the top 10 in March as well, thanks to EA releasing a large number of them on Steam.
All in all, digital and boxed video game sales were up 26% versus the same period last year, with 3.65 million games sold across PC and consoles this March. That’s certainly something to be celebrated along the doom and gloom.
Console sales were up versus February, too, but down versus the same period last year. Switch was in the 2nd spot in March, with sales up by 20% from February. Xbox Series X/S sales were up too, by 19%. PS5 was unsurprisingly the biggest selling console in March, however, with sales up 25%.
