Available as a digital title only, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name can essentially be thought of as a stand-alone expansion for the upcoming Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, albeit one released before the main event. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that it’s shorter than your typical Yakuza / Like a Dragon game, though it still offers tens of hours of fun. While most Yakuza / Like a Dragon games have in excess of ten chapters, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name has just five. That should give you an idea of how much smaller in scope this release is compared to a full mainline entry. Saying that, however, each of the five chapters in the game is fairly sizable, taking at least two to three hours to complete depending on how much side content you complete along the way.
Once you’re done with all five chapters of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, you can then jump into a trial version of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth which is included as a bonus. Here you can have fun with various activities in Adventure mode, or play a small slice of the game’s story complete with cutscenes exclusive to the trial. So, while Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name might not have many chapters, thanks to its wealth of activities and side-quests to complete, as well as the Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth trial, it still packs in plenty of content.
