If you’ve been playing Dreamlight Valley for a while, you’ll know that breaking a rock is as simple as equipping your pickaxe and using it on the rock with square/X. But that doesn’t work when you first get to Eternity Isle. But don’t worry: breaking rocks on Eternity Isle in Disney Dreamlight Valley is simply a matter of patience.
All you need to do is complete the first mission on the island – The Secrets of Eternity Isle. By finishing the mission, Jafar will give you a special gift: he’ll upgrade your pickaxe which allows it to break through the smaller rocks on the island.
So if you’ve been trying to smash rocks with no avail, don’t worry: you don’t need a whole new pickaxe – you just need to finish that first mission. However, you’ll only be able to break small rocks. You’ll need another upgrade to break through the larger rocks on the island, so simply keep playing through main missions until you’re rewarded with one.
