Are you wondering how to change characters in Super Mario Wonder? Here’s what you need to know.
When you start playing Super Mario Wonder, you can choose from any one of twelve characters. There’s of course Mario and Luigi, and some familiar faces like Peach, Daisy and Toad. But there’s also some more original choices, like four different-coloured Yoshis, and a chap called Nabbit. But can you change characters part way through playing Super Mario Wonder?
Thankfully, the answer is yes: you can switch characters at any point while playing – just not while you’re in a level. From the map screen, open up the pause menu. From there, you’ll see a “characters” option. Select it, and you can switch to be any other character.
If you’re playing in multiplayer, every player can switch characters in the same way. It’s worth noting that everyone has to be a unique character, however: you can’t have two Luigis, for example. It would just get too hectic trying to keep up with who is who, after all.
So, whenever you fancy a refresh between a level, head to the options menu to switch characters in Super Mario Wonder. Remember that the Yoshis and Nabbit can’t use the same power-ups as everyone else, however (you can’t be an Elephant Yoshi, for instance!) but they are immune to damage from enemies.
