Do you want to change how your Helldiver looks? Here’s everything you need to know about how to change your appearance in Helldivers 2.
The good news is that, yes, you can change your appearance in Helldivers 2. There are a few things you can change, from your armour to your helmet, and you can also edit things like your body type and your voice. To do so, head to the armoury screens you’ll find on the bridge of your ship.
In the armoury, you’ll find every piece of armour you own so far. Check them carefully, because they’re not purely cosmetic. Different pieces of armour can have different stats, and they also have various special benefits. You’ll earn medals as you play, which can be spent on new pieces of armour – and (boo, hiss) you can also buy new armour sets by using real money in the ‘Acquisitions’ menu. Find it by pressing X/square when you’re on your ship.
In the Acquisitions menu, the ‘Warbinds’ menu is where you’ll find everything you can buy with medals. Check regularly, because you’ll earn medals for every mission you do. Once you’ve redeemed something in the Warbinds menu, it’ll be added to your wardrobe, so to speak, and you’ll be able to find it in your Armoury.
Back in the Armoury, use your left and right shoulder buttons to navigate to different tabs. You’ll be able to change your body armour and your helm here, and by toggling to ‘Character’, you can change your body type and more. If you’ve purchased a special edition of Helldivers 2, there’s a good chance you’ll have some different armour types available for you instantly, so be sure to check them.
