Here’s everything you need to know about completing Scrooge’s quest, A Garden in the Desert, in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
A Garden in the Desert is a quest exclusive to the Rift in Time expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley. You need to be on the new Eternity Isle to complete it. If you do have the expansion, however, it’ll become available for you pretty quickly: it’s a mission from Scrooge, and all you need to do to begin is talk to him.
Scrooge wants to help you find ways to make money – as if you need his help by this point – and he’s suggested you grow seeds so you can sell vegetables. (Have you not seen our thriving Pumpkin Empire that’s taken over the forest back home, Scrooge?) Anyway. Humour him you must, and so you’ll need to buy some specific seeds and get growing.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 6x Celery – Buy seeds from Goofy at The Docks, The Courtyard, The Overlook or The Ruins
- 6x Broccoli – Buy seeds from The Plains, The Wastes, The Oasis or The Borderlands
- 6x Cabbage – Buy seeds from The Grasslands, The Promenade, The Grove or The Lagoon
You’ll need to ensure you have at least some of Goofy’s stalls up and running before you can complete this quest, so make sure you’ve done Give Me A Sign first.
You can’t plant these seeds just anywhere: it has to be in the Glittering Dunes. Once they’re planted, it’s just a case of being patient. Broccoli takes 40 minutes to grow, Cabbage takes one hour, and Celery takes 10 minutes. Make sure you water them if it’s not raining.
Once they’re all grown, harvest them then talk to Scrooge. He’ll reward you with some special gems – and that’s it. You’ve completed A Garden in the Desert mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
