Find out how to jump in Lords of the Fallen, allowing you to cross small gaps
As you make your way through the fantastic Lords of the Fallen, you’ll eventually find some areas where you need to cross small gaps. Often, holding up your lamp might prove to be the answer, with it materialising a platform you can walk on in the Umbral. Sometimes though, a crevice might seem to block your progress in both the lands of the living and the dead. Thankfully you can jump, so your journey doesn’t have to come to an end. But how do you jump in Lords of the Fallen, exactly?
To jump in Lords of the Fallen, you first need to run. It’s a bit irritating, but it’s not out of the ordinary for a Soulslike. When playing using a controller, you can run by simply pressing in the left analogue stick while moving. Once you’re running, you can then perform a jump by pressing the Interact button, which when using a PlayStation controller is X, and when using an Xbox controller is A.
It’s worth practising jumping in a safe area, just to get a good idea of how far you travel. Chances are the areas where you’re required to jump will be extremely dangerous to traverse, after all. You’ll find that you don’t jump all that far, so you’ll generally have to get very close to the edge of the platform you’re jumping off to make it safely to the next. Once you’ve got the hang of it though, you should be fine.
