Wondering how to switch weapons in Helldivers 2? Here’s everything you need to know.
Helldivers 2 is out now on PC and PS5, bringing shooty-shooty alien action to our fingertips. It’s fast, frenetic – and surprisingly tough. But one thing you’re going to need in Helldivers 2 is knowing how to switch weapons.
You’ll be given two weapons after completing your training: a primary weapon and your sidearm. By using a stratagem (hold down your left shoulder button), you can also call in a heavy weapon, which will be added to your loadout.
To switch between your different guns in Helldivers 2, use the triangle/Y button. Tapping the button will switch between your primary weapon and sidearm. Holding down triangle/Y will equip your heavy weapon.
You can also switch to grenades by pressing right on the d-pad. To go back to your gun, press right again, or press triangle/Y.
That’s all there is to it! Remember to regularly change up your weapons to ensure you’re always using the best one for the job. You’ll need to remember to refill your ammo and reload regularly, too. Nothing comes for free in the world of Helldivers 2.
