When you boot up Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown for the first time, you’ll be faced with the question so many games ask: what difficulty would you like to play on? Needless to say, your choice can greatly affect your experience. So, which difficulty should you choose?
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has four preset difficulties for you to choose from: Rookie, Warrior, Hero, and Immortal. Each difficulty changes things like enemy damage, enemy health, the parry window, and more, meaning each offers a considerably different challenge. We have to say that even on Rookie difficulty, however, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is not the easiest of games – if you’re new to the genre or not confident when it comes to combat, Rookie is what you should choose, but you’ll still likely be challenged.
Of course, most players should play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on the default difficulty, which is Warrior. This offers a considerable challenge, and demands players to really familiarise themselves with the game’s mechanics. Then, once they feel like they’ve mastered it, they can progress to Hero and Immortal difficulty levels.
What’s important to note is that there are no difficulty-related Achievements or Trophies in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, so players are free to tackle the game on the difficulty level that they’re comfortable with. The difficulty can be changed mid-game, too, so if you find the action too easy or too hard you can easily adjust it for more satisfaction. There’s even a custom difficulty option available, allowing you to tweak parameters to your preferences. If you want to give enemies more health but make parrying easier, for example, you can do that.
