Released on PS4 and PC in 2020, 1v4 asymmetrical multiplayer experience Predator: Hunting Grounds is apparently going to get a new lease of life in 2024. Not only is it about to get a new update, but later in the year it’s going to be available on both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The news stems from the fact that the game has a new publisher. Developed by Illfonic, it was previously published by Sony on both PS4 and PC. Now it will be published by Illfonic alongside 20th Century Games. Both parties intend to keep the game alive, with patch 2.49 for the PS4 and PC versions of the game arriving soon that will adjust player movement, further balance Predator and Fireteam weapons, and a whole lot more.
Later in 2024, the game will arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and will be upgraded to offer a next-gen experience. Then, over winter, more Predators will be added to the game, with yet more Predators arriving in spring 2025. Hopefully there’ll be more than new Predators too, such as new maps, but we’ll see.

We somewhat enjoyed our time with Predator: Hunting Grounds on PS4 when it launched, but we weren’t blown away by it. Thankfully it’s been improved since, and with it coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S it’s bound to get more love. So, whether you’re simply a Predator fan or love asymmetrical multiplayer experiences, perhaps keep this on your radar.
