Released into early access last year on PC, Shadows of Doubt has proved to be quite a hit with wannabe sleuths. Soon the game is likely to be even more popular, as it’s set to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
A detective sim, what makes Shadows of Doubt really stand out is its procedurally generated sandbox world. You’re able to explore fully simulated cities, where each citizen has their own name, job and daily routine, making your work more realistic and immersive than ever before.
With your main goal being to track down a serial killer, you’ll need to explore every nook and cranny, follow up on leads however small, and make use of a wide range of gadgets and skills. Needless to say, it’s one of the best detective sims out there, even though it’s currently still in early access.
