Launching this November, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 looks set to be a meaningful upgrade over its predecessor, with enhanced systems, features and a whole lot more. If you’re really keen on going hands-on with the title, however, and you have a PC beefy enough to handle it, you should sign up for the game’s Technical Alpha, which will be taking place later this month.
The focus of the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Technical Alpha is to validate new services, and so it won’t include all of the content found in the full game. It will at least give players the chance to test a couple of its modes.
It’s also worth bearing in mind that while Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will launch on Xbox Series X/S this November, this Technical Alpha will only be available on Windows PC.
Sign ups are live right now, though spaces are limited. If you’re looking to participate, you’d be wise to check over the PC system requirements to make sure your PC is able to handle the game. If it’s up to the task, head on over to the Insider survey on the Microsoft Flight Simulator website where you can express your interest.
Those lucky enough to be chosen to participate in the Technical Alpha will then be contacted at a later date via their preferred email address.
The Technical Alpha will run for two to three days, and participants will be testing Free Flight as well as a number of Career, Challenge and Discovery activities. For more information, visit the Microsoft Flight Simulator website, where you’ll find a full list of the services that will be tested and more.
And remember, you need to sign up to be in with a chance of taking part, so check the system requirements and complete the survey if you’re interested.
