It’s been officially unofficially confirmed that Lies of P is getting new downloadable content. It’s unofficial in that developers Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio haven’t made an official announcement.
However, as spotted by Okaki Games, Neowiz did seemingly confirm it on their jobs board. They stated that there was “DLC planned for production”, which suggests it’s a good way off.
We absolutely loved Lies of P saying that, “As far as Soulslike games go, this might just be the best yet outside of those made by FromSoftware”. So we’re definitely up for more Fable-themed slashing.
Will the DLC have you playing Pinocchio, aka P? We’d certainly imagine so. Without getting into spoiler territory, there are at least a couple of plot points that could be picked up on.
But at least one of those would involve introducing a major new character, something we suspect will be saved for a sequel or sidequel or spin-off. It’s more likely there’ll be a new region to explore, filled with new puppets and monsters.
Lies of P has already been involved in crossover downloadable content, a collaboration with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Though in that case, it was Lies of P’s weapons ending up in Wo Long.
For now, Lies of P should still keep you playing for a good 20+ hours at least, likely many more. And if you’ve finished, there’s always New Game Plus.
