It’s no secret that Payday 3 had a bit of a troubled launch. Starbreeze is hard at work improving its latest heist-filled title, however, and its next update promises to be pretty substantial.
Launching later this month, the next major update for Payday 3 is set to feature over 200 bug fixes as well as quality of life and balancing improvements. That alone should make the game much more enjoyable for fans. But there’s more. A hell of a lot more, in fact. The update will also include two new music tracks by Gustavo Coutinho, the Under Wraps mask, the Compact7 Lycan preset weapon, and Infamy Points have been added to heist payouts. It even introduces new first person interaction and weapon inspection animations.
What is likely to be most welcome by Payday 3 players, however, is the introduction of two legacy heists. Both Cook Off and Turbid Station from Payday 2 have been reimagined for this latest entry in the series, injecting new life into them. At the very least, they’ll provide more variety when playing Payday 3 with others, and they pave the way for yet more legacy heists to be introduced in the future. We do hope that Starbreeze introduces some more brand new heists as well though.
No date has been revealed for the update yet, but it is set to land this November for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Furthermore, a full list of changes and updates will be made available closer to its release.
