If you’re planning to play Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you’ll probably be wondering what difficulty you should choose. Here’s what you need to know.
There are three difficulty options to choose from in Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Easy, Normal and Hard. The difficulty you select will affect various aspects of the game, and so you’ll want to choose the one that fits best with your play style and ability.
The difficulty levels are as follows:
- Easy – Enemy detection speed and searching time are decreased. Pickpocketing is easier. Enemy damage and resistances are decreased.
- Normal – The standard, balanced experience. Combat can prove deadly if outnumbered, and you need to be pretty effective at stealth.
- Hard – Enemy detection speed and searching time are increased. Pickpocketing is harder. Enemy damage and resistances are increased.
For most players, we’d recommend jumping in on Normal difficulty, especially if you’ve played a Creed game before. This is the most balanced way to play, offering enough challenge to be satisfying without ever being too devilish.
On the other hand, Easy is the difficulty option to go for if you’d rather focus on the story. It’s also a good starting place if you’re new to action games, and not so great at stealth.
Finally, Hard offers up a real challenge. It requires players to play stealthily and be good at it; engaging in combat in this difficulty is not recommended as it’s very unlikely to end well.
The good news is that you can change the difficulty at any time by going into the options menu. There are also no difficulty-related achievements or trophies. So if you find your choice too easy or too hard, you can change it on the fly.
