Are you struggling to find the password to Josh’s tablet in his dorm room in The Gap? Here’s what you need to know.
We’ll be honest: trying to find the tablet password in Josh’s dorm room in The Gap stumped us for a while, too. We looked everywhere in the dorm, and it was nowhere to be found. We tried random dates from the calendar on the wall, but nothing. Well, here’s the first thing you need to know: the password isn’t in Josh’s dorm room. You need to leave that particular memory to be able to find it.
Annoyingly, The Gap doesn’t make it clear that you can leave the memory at any time. Holding down circle (or B if you’re on an Xbox controller – or ‘Q’ if you’re using keyboard and mouse) will take you out of the memory and back to Josh’s apartment in the “home reality”. And it’s here that you’ll find the password to Josh’s tablet.
You’ll find a small office coming off the bedroom in the apartment. Head in there, and you’ll see Josh’s PC. Interact with it, and there’s a strange chat appearing on the screen. As part of that chat, you’ll see an out-of-context number. That number is the password you need.
If you want us to make it really easy for you, fine. The password to Josh’s tablet in the dorm room in The Gap is 253672.
Once you’ve retrieved it from the PC, head back into the memory (you can do this from the wall of clues in the living room) and type the password onto the tablet. And you’re done!
