Remember Chicken Police, the anthropomorphic crime noir that first released in 2020? It’s getting a cosy café management simulator.
Yeah, we checked the calendar too, and we’re pretty certain it’s not April Fool’s day. It sounds absurd, but after watching the trailer for Zipp’s Café, we realise that this is actually a match made in heaven. The dark and gritty world of Chicken Police makes for the perfect backdrop for a diner, and the cast of wonderful animal characters that exist in the world make for the perfect customers.
We’re not sure we’d personally call Zipp’s Café “cosy”, a word used in the press release. It’s hardly Animal Crossing or Cat Café Simulator. There’s still a gloomy atmosphere here, as is the nature of The World of Wilderness – the name given to Chicken Police’s universe. But you’ll be spending your time pouring cups of coffee, serving up food and getting to know your customers.
While you don’t need to know much about Chicken Police to enjoy Zipp’s Café, it will help. This is actually a prelude to the upcoming Chicken Police – Into the Hive, and developer The Wild Gentlemen suggests that there may be a few teases in store. We’d certainly expect to see a few familiar faces at the very least.
