Linnea turns standard Hydro-Crystallize setups into Lunar-Crystallize teams, while also covering several support roles at once. She has Geo RES shred, healing, Elemental Mastery buffs, and off-field damage, all while scaling primarily from DEF. HoYoverse definitely cooked.
As I mentioned, she’s also clearly designed to work with Lunar-Crystallize reaction teams and fits into the strongest recent teams for endgame content. If you’re pulling her this patch, you’ll want the best Linnea build right away. So let’s cover the best Linnea build, including her best weapons, artifacts, teams, and more.
Linnea Build and Abilities Overview in Genshin Impact 6.5

Linnea is a 5-star Geo Bow character, and most of her abilities are about Lumi, her summon, which deals off-field Geo damage and helps trigger or amplify Lunar-Crystallize interactions. To put it simply, Linnea’s kit can provide:
- Hydro-Crystallize conversion into Lunar-Crystallize
- Up to 30% Geo RES shred
- Team healing through her Elemental Burst
- An Elemental Mastery buff based on her DEF
- Consistent off-field Geo/Lunar damage

This is what makes her so strong. She’s one of those support characters that does more than just buff damage. She also enables the Lunar reaction archetype itself. A lot of Linnea’s abilities scale with DEF, which is great news for players because it means you don’t have to focus on different stats.
Her healing, buffs, and a good chunk of her overall value all improve with proper talent levels as you build her correctly. For her best build, your main focus will be stacking enough DEF to maximize her support value, then giving her enough Energy Recharge to burst consistently.
Of course, she can also have incredible personal damage. So if you want, you can even steer her into a Crit build for more personal damage. Ideally, you’ll want to have: High DEF, enough ER to burst consistently, a decent Crit Rate / Crit DMG ratio, and some incidental Elemental Mastery rolls.
If your weapon or teammates don’t help much with energy, you may need to lean harder into ER than you initially expect.
Linnea Talent Priority in Genshin Impact 6.5

Linnea is almost always played as an off-field support/sub-DPS, so her talent priority is pretty straightforward:
Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Her Elemental Skill is the priority because that’s where most of her damage and off-field utility comes from. It’s also the most important part of her rotation and one of the main reasons you bring her in the first place.
Her Elemental Burst comes next, since it provides team healing and helps with your rotations, especially in teams that don’t want to dedicate a full slot to a traditional healer.
Her Normal Attack can safely stay low or even at level 1 unless you just want to max her out for personal reasons. It’s not a meaningful part of her combat output.
Best Artifacts for Linnea in Genshin Impact 6.5

Linnea has a few very strong artifact options, but in practice, two stand above the rest.
Aubade of Morningstar and Moon
This is one of Linnea’s best overall sets if you’re using her the way she’s clearly intended: as an off-field Lunar-Crystallize support. It buffs Lunar reactions very efficiently, and because Linnea spends most of her time off-field, she can maintain it consistently. If you’re playing her in a dedicated Lunar-Crystallize team, Aubade of Morningstar and Moon is the best choice.
Husk of Opulent Dreams
If you want a simpler and more universal option, Husk of Opulent Dreams also works well. Because Linnea scales so heavily from DEF, Husk naturally fits her kit. It gives her a stronger all-around value by improving her stats directly rather than leaning entirely into Lunar reaction bonuses.
This set is especially appealing if:
- You already have a good Husk set lying around
- Your Aubade pieces are bad
In most builds, the difference between Husk and Aubade comes down less to theory and more to which one has better substats.
Silken Moon’s Serenade
This is a viable alternative, but it’s usually not Linnea’s first choice unless nobody else on the team is wearing it.
Silken Moon’s Serenade is often better placed on another teammate who can maintain its teamwide Lunar support effects more efficiently. Linnea can use it, but she often gets more value from a personal set like Aubade or Husk instead.
Best Artifact Stats for Linnea
For main stats, the safest and strongest setup is:
- Sands: DEF%
- Goblet: DEF%
- Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
If you feel like you’re not bursting often enough, you can use an Energy Recharge Sands, especially in teams where Linnea needs her Burst every rotation. For substats, prioritize:
DEF% > CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate > Energy Recharge
If you’re using a support weapon like Favonius Warbow, your ER requirements become much easier to manage.
Best Weapons for Linnea in Genshin Impact 6.5

Linnea’s weapon choices are actually pretty forgiving. Her signature is best, of course, but several premium and budget options work well because she mainly wants Crit, utility, or energy smoothing.
Golden Frostbound Oath
This is Linnea’s best-in-slot weapon. It gives her exactly what she wants: strong offensive stats, better scaling for her Lunar/Geo output, and extra value that fits neatly into her intended role. If you’re going all-in on Linnea, this is the cleanest possible weapon for her.
Aqua Simulacra
Aqua Simulacra is one of the best alternatives if you don’t have her signature. The Crit DMG stat alone makes it extremely valuable, and Linnea doesn’t really mind that some of the weapon’s passives are less tailored to her than a true signature would be.
Polar Star
Polar Star is another very good premium option, especially if you need Crit Rate instead of Crit DMG. It’s slightly less elegant on Linnea than a pure stat-stick option, but it still performs well and helps with overall stat balancing.
Skyward Harp
Skyward Harp is a reliable general-use 5-star CRIT bow. It doesn’t specifically work better for Linnea, but the Crit stats and raw usefulness make it a strong fallback if you already own one.
Favonius Warbow
This is one of Linnea’s best practical support choices, especially if your team or artifacts leave her short on energy. If your build is struggling to burst every rotation, Favonius Warbow can feel better than greedier options in actual gameplay.
Best Linnea Teams in Genshin Impact 6.5

Linnea’s best teams are all built around Geo + Hydro synergy, since that’s what allows her Lunar-Crystallize conversion to actually matter. She can still work outside of these teams, but if you want to get the most out of her, this is where she shines.
Best Premium Team
Zibai + Columbina + Illuga + Linnea
This is widely expected to be Linnea’s strongest and most premium team.
It has basically everything she wants:
- A carry that fully benefits from Lunar-Crystallize support
- Strong Hydro application
- Additional reaction amplification
- High teamwide synergy
If you’re pulling Linnea specifically because you want to play the strongest version of the Lunar-Crystallize core, this is the team you’re aiming for.
Best Alternative Teams
Zibai + Columbina + Gorou + Linnea
This is a strong variation if you don’t have or aren’t using Illuga in that slot. Gorou can add extra value in DEF-scaling setups and still support the team’s Geo-heavy structure.
Navia + Columbina + Furina or Illuga + Linnea
Navia benefits surprisingly well from Linnea because she appreciates the extra Geo support and can function nicely in reaction-heavy compositions.
Furina also pairs well with Linnea because Linnea’s healing helps stabilize Furina’s HP drain without needing a dedicated second healer.
Itto + Columbina + Furina or Gorou + Linnea
Itto teams can use Linnea effectively if you want to modernize a more traditional Geo setup with Lunar-Crystallize utility layered on top.
Noelle + Columbina or Aino + Furina/Gorou + Linnea
Noelle gets a lot out of Linnea’s all-in-one utility. DEF synergy, healing support, and Geo-centric team structure all make sense here.
If you don’t have the premium Hydro options, Aino can also help fill the role in more accessible versions of the team.
Linnea can also work with characters like Ningguang, Albedo, and even Zhongli. She won’t always be the absolute best option in every version of those teams, but she fits into them easily.
Best Constellations for Linnea in Genshin Impact 6.5

Linnea is already good at C0, but if you’re thinking about vertical investment, a couple of her constellations stand out more than the rest.
C1
Her first constellation gives her a noticeable increase in damage contribution and improves how much she adds to team output.
C2
C2 is where Linnea’s value really spikes. It adds a huge Crit DMG boost for the team and dramatically improves her payoff in optimized Lunar-Crystallize comps.
Higher Constellations
C4 and C6 are strong, but they’re luxury territory. If you’re not already a whale, C2 is the practical place to stop. As for signature weapon versus constellations, you might want to get C1/C2 more than her signature weapon immediately, depending on whether you have good alternative weapons.
Linnea Ascension Materials

If you’re pre-farming Linnea, here’s what matters most.
For full ascension, she uses:
- Prithiva Topaz gems
- Tattered / Immaculate / Frost-Etched Warrant
- Plume of the Fallen Watcher
- Etherwing Moth
- Mora
The important catch is that some of Linnea’s materials are tied to Version 6.5 content, which means they weren’t fully farmable before release.
Linnea Talent Materials
For her talents, Linnea uses:
- Teachings / Guide / Philosophies of Vagrancy
- Tattered / Immaculate / Frost-Etched Warrant
- Elixir of the Heretic
- Crown of Insight (for level 10)
Should You Pull Linnea in Genshin Impact 6.5?
Linnea is very strong, but her pull value depends heavily on your account. If you already play or want to play Lunar-Crystallize teams, then she’s one of the best pickups in Version 6.5. She’s especially valuable if you own or plan to pull characters like:
- Zibai
- Columbina
- Illuga
- Or other Geo carries who can benefit from her utility
If you don’t care about Lunar-Crystallize or Geo teams, her value drops quite a bit. She’s not a universal plug-and-play support in the same way some of Genshin’s most account-defining units are. That said, within her intended niche, she looks excellent.
She’s easy to build, scales well with investment, and gives Geo teams something they’ve wanted for ages: a support who actually makes the element feel worth playing instead of just existing in the background.
