Samsung is back at it again, teasing its next foldable phone.
Last week, the South Korean tech giant previewed the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold foldable in a brief teaser video, showing the phone unfolding against an illuminated backdrop with the tagline «the Ultra experience is ready to unfold,» which presumably refers to the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung’s rumored next-generation book-style foldable phone.
Now, Samsung has released another teaser for its next Galaxy Z series phone, claiming it’s the «thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet» and «meticulously crafted and built to last.» Samsung also provided another brief teaser video, displaying the phone’s ultra-slim profile while folded and unfolded. You can check out the teaser below.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be unveiled this summer
Based on Samsung’s press release and the teaser video, it is evident that Samsung is fully committed to slimness and portability this year with its next Galaxy Z Fold series phone. This comes as no surprise, particularly given that other competitors in the foldable space, such as the Oppo Find N5, are offering ultra-slim, lightweight designs this year. The Oppo Find N5, when unfolded, measures 4.21mm in thickness and is 8.93mm thick when folded.
Previous leaks regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 7 suggest that the phone will be 4.5mm thick when unfolded and 9.5mm thick when folded. While it isn’t as slim as the Oppo Find N5, Samsung’s advantage is that its foldable will actually be available in North America and Europe.
Although Samsung hasn’t explicitly stated the name of its upcoming book-style foldable in either of its recent press releases, the phone that the South Korean tech giant is likely teasing is the Galaxy Z Fold 7. When Samsung first teased the phone, Digital Trends noted that the name of the GIF file that accompanied the press release was «Galaxy-Z-Fold7-Z-Flip7-Pre-tease-Bartype_1920x1080.gif,» which strongly indicates that the phone Samsung is teasing is the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 (Samsung’s clamshell-style foldable phone) are expected to launch this summer, likely in July. One UI 8, Samsung’s Android 16 update, will be introduced with the phones. Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S25 Edge, its new ultra-slim smartphone. However, one of the main concerns is battery life, and given how sleek the Z Fold 7 looks, there may be similar worries.
