GTA 6 Fans Are '100% Convinced' That This Scene from Trailer 2 is Gameplay Footage

Grand Theft Auto 6 fans online are convinced that one specific scene in the recent second trailer is gameplay footage rather than a cutscene. Rockstar has already revealed that Grand Theft Auto 6‘s second trailer is part-gameplay, part-cutscenes, but this particular shot has players convinced about its authenticity.

The release of Trailer 2 for Grand Theft Auto 6 was a big surprise, with Rockstar giving no prior hint that it was on the way. It was a pleasant shock, considering that the developer had delayed Grand Theft Auto 6 to May 2026 just days earlier. Since its release, fans have scoured every frame for more details about Grand Theft Auto 6, just as they did with the first trailer back in late 2023, in an attempt to figure out everything possible about the game before its release.

Redditor No-Adhesiveness412 highlighted a particular scene from Grand Theft Auto 6‘s Trailer 2, claiming they’re «100% convinced this is actual gameplay footage.» The scene in question is the shot in which Lucia fires a grenade launcher out the back of a moving vehicle, blowing up three pursuing police cars in the process. Their reason is because it «looks like one of those “shoot then while i drive” mission sequences, the way the camera is positioned, just without a hud.» If this particular shot is actual gameplay footage, it would be a stunning example of the game’s graphical fidelity, although it’s impossible to know right now unless Rockstar confirms one way or the other.

Lucia's Grenade Launcher Highlight in GTA 6 Trailer is '100%' Gameplay Footage, According to Fans

Other players in the thread pointed out other things in the trailer they believed were also gameplay segments, including the clip in which a character jumps from one vehicle to another. The scene in which Grand Theft Auto 6‘s Jason was driving through Vice City in first-person was also highlighted as a possible gameplay section. Considering Rockstar Games claimed in a recent post on X that Trailer 2 is «comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes,» it’s no surprise that fans are trying to figure out which is which.

Speculation about everything in the new Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer will continue for a long time yet. After almost 12 years of waiting for the game, it’s only natural that fans want to cling to every detail they can get about Grand Theft Auto 6. Analyzing the trailer will only get easier from this point onward, after another dedicated Grand Theft Auto 6 fan uploaded every frame from Trailer 2 in the hunt for new information.
