Grand Theft Auto Online players in Australia are now unable to access the Diamond Casino’s games or lucky wheel, meaning they can no longer own the rarest car in GTA 5.
For a long time, the Diamond Casino and Resort lurked in the background for GTA Online players. They were eagerly awaiting the day that Rockstar Games would open the doors and let them gamble their money away – and potentially steal it back too.
The casino finally opened its doors to players back in 2019, but there are quite a few countries where you can’t experience it to its fullest. These include Greece, South Korea, and Qatar, where the casino is limited due to laws about gambling and in-game loot boxes.
Players in these countries are able to watch others gamble, but can’t use the daily spin wheel either. This means that they’ll never be able to win the Lost Slamvan, which is the rarest car in GTA Online.
Australia clamps down on GTA Online’s casino
Well, as of July 28, players in Australia have joined that list and players are unable to do anything inside the Diamond Casino.
It was flagged by a few players on social media, as well as the GTA Forums website, who were quite frustrated to find that their access is now restricted.
“RIP Australian GTA Online,” one Redditor said. “Crazy how you can bet your life savings on your irl phone through sports betting apps, but you can’t gamble fictional currency on a rated 18+ game,” another added. “Literally who was this harming??” another asked.

Players across Australia have flagged it affecting Red Dead Redemption 2 as well, with Red Dead Online’s card games no longer working either.
“Buying and selling chips is still available, but it’s next to useless,” another said of the casino.

An exact reasoning for the ban hasn’t been confirmed, but many have linked it to online safety and age assurance rules, which Australia introduced back in March.
“It is possible that this removal is preemptive and they will implement an age verification system that is sufficient to give adults access again at a later date, time will tell,” DarkVipeAU added.
Rockstar has disabled gambling in the Diamond Casino for Australians in GTA Online. This even includes the lucky wheel daily spin.

It remains to be seen as to whether or not this will be case. But, for now, you can’t do anything.
