A new Guilty Gear Strive leak has allegedly revealed the Season 5 characters. Guilty Gear Strive was released in 2021, and since then Arc System Works has been supporting the game by adding new playable characters.
Baiken, one of the franchise’s most beloved names, was one of the additions in Season 1, while Sin Kiske made his debut in the second season, allowing fans to play as Ky Kiske’s son. The vampire Slayer was one of the fighters added in Season 3, and now with Season 4 underway, the devs have released two fighters: Venom and Dizzy. This time, a new Guilty Gear Strive leak is circulating, and it sheds light on what players can expect from the next season.
A Guilty Gear Strive leak claims to have discovered that Jam Kuradoberi, Kum Haehyun, Answer, and Raven will be the fighters released in Season 5. The information comes from a hacker who claims to have broken into Arc System Works’ internal servers and accessed the game’s source code, which includes a build with Season 5 content, although this is still in development. In this build, the hacker is said to have found early concept art along with new moves for part of the roster, and playable versions of the remaining Guilty Gear Strive Season 4 fighters, although development of these has not been finalized either.
Who Are the Potential Guilty Gear Strive Season 5 Fighters?
Jam Kuradoberi is a Guilty Gear character with multiple appearances in the franchise, who stands out for being one of the few fighters who don’t use weapons. Kum Haehyun is the current head of the Kum family, which is famous for its knowledge of Ki energy. However, the family does not allow women in positions of power, and the solution she found was to create a robot in the shape of an old master. Answer is known as the “Business Ninja,” because, unlike other characters of this type, he wears a business suit instead of traditional ninja clothing, and has business cards as weapons. One of That Man’s three servants, Raven is an immortal man who has been alive for hundreds of years, and fights using needles.
Currently, the information the hacker shared is speculation, and like other leaks and rumors, it could change until the developers make an official announcement. While more details about Season 5 are not shared, players are waiting for the release of the last two characters of the fourth season: Unika and Lucy, the latter being a crossover between Guilty Gear Strive and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
