There's finally a fix for M-1000 Maxigun's biggest flaw in Helldivers 2 but you need some extra support!

Helldivers 2 Players Have Fixed Minigun’s Biggest Drawback - But There’s a Catch

There’s absolutely no denying that the M-1000 Maxigun is the standout addition in Helldivers 2‘s new Python Commandos Warbond. Seriously, players simply can’t get enough of tearing through enemy swarms with this particular Stratagem. However, its biggest drawback is hard to ignore, which is the fact that you’re completely stationary while firing it.

It can be quite a big headache, and while the community has found a solution, there’s a big catch!

Helldivers 2‘s Minigun Works the Best With a Mech

You read that right, Helldivers, the M-1000 Maxigun truly shines when you pair the thing with an Exosuit. Just hop on top of the mech, and you’re ready to fire democracy on those bugs, bots, and squids without giving them a single moment to breathe. They won’t stand a chance.

Don’t believe us? Well, it’s time for you to check out this clip from u/Blackphinex1313 uploaded on the official Helldivers 2 subreddit. The Redditor showcases us how exactly this strategy plays out. It’s just mind-boggling how they were able to eliminate one of the Maxigun’s biggest weaknesses and have turned it into a walking nightmare for all our foes.

And they said we cant move and shoot the mini gun!!!!!

Of course, every good thing in life comes with a catch, and this Maxigun strategy is no different. While you’re unleashing absolute chaos on top of the mech, who is going to command the machine itself? It’s not like you can autopilot the thing. This means that you’ll need a Helldiver alongside you to drive the Mech while you take care of the rest.

You might think that this is not a big issue. However, for all those lone wolves out there who wanted to tackle missions with this new Stratagem, it’s a real problem. Without a teammate to take control of the mech, they’ll be stuck and unable to shoot on the move, which defeats the entire point of this tactic. We can only hope for Arrowhead Game Studios to make some changes on this end with the future updates.

The M-1000 Maxigun itself is a pretty big reason to get your hands on the Python Commandos Warbond in Helldivers 2. After all, it’s the game’s first minigun, and something that fans had been demanding to see for years. However, if you still aren’t convinced about spending those 1000 Super Credits on this Warbond, here’s what you need to know about.

Not only do you get the Maxigun, but also the AX/FLAM 75 “Guard Dog”, which is a drone that can burn down your enemies to ashes, and the CQC-9 Defoilation tool, a chainsaw that’s capable of shredding down your foes.

If that’s not enough, the Warbond also brings the AR/GL-21 One Two, which is an assault rifle and a grenade launcher baked into one. Alongside all of that, what you’re also getting with this Warbond is new capes, player banners, an emote, a title, camo patterns, and armor sets!
